Amazing Experience!! We had a valuable experience, especially for my son! Thank you for letting him experience so much. The service of the staff was beyond my expectations. They were really friendly and helpful. This camp has good equipment, delicious meals, and many wild animals! Elephants came to visit us during siesta:)

Amazing 3-nights at Saguni ! Arriving at Saguni after 2 very nice lodges, we didn’t expect our experience to be as nice. This place ended up being the favorite of our Botswana tour ! Amazing environment by the river, where you can observe elephants, hippopotamuses, antilopes, birds etc The lodge isn’t fenced so you’re really in the midst of the animal activity, more especially at night. Tents are large and comfortable with beautiful views for those by the river. Our guide, Byst, was friendly, knowledgeable, and got us to spot so many animals, which includes the leopard and cheetah. The chef (mostly Joshua) always made sure to serve diverse and delicious food (we are vegetarian so even got to receive our own special plate). Oscar, in charge of the lodge, was always around to give a hand on anything we needed and is, like the rest of the staff, very friendly. Everyone made us feel at ease and at home, even though there were a couple of large groups which stayed at Saguni while we were there. Improvement could be made in two areas: more options to charge electronics in the tents, and the jeeps being meant for up to 9 people (3 in each row), if you’re unlucky to find yourself in the middle seat with many other guests, which you may not know, onboard, the game drive experience isn’t as enjoyable (the other lodges we stayed in had 6-seaters where everyone can enjoy the view). All in all, a 5-star experience and would love to return ! Thank you amazing Saguni team, you rock !

genuine warm hospitality We spent 3 nights at this most wonderful lodge, celebrating my 70th birthday. We happened to be the only guests at the time but were met with full welcome and the warmest hospitality, even the director of the company also spent time with us and one can see why the whole lodge is so special with him as the head. The entire team were friendly, warm and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was the best ever. The tented room was comfortable with a huge triple sized bed made extra special with hot water bottles at night. The tent was well designed . My only comment would be is to have a handrail in the shower for us more elderly people. Other than that it was perfect with a wonderful view of the river and visiting elephants. see photos. The chef was brilliant and the food was absolutely delicious . Even though we were the only guests he did not cut us short of variety or quantity. We loved his food and explanation of what we were to eat. All the staff were attentive. Oscar the manager was always around, chatting ensuring every detail was met. He greeted us when we came back from the drives and made sure we got off well in the mornings Tito our guide was such a warm, humble and knowledgeable guide, I learned so much from him. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The cherry on the top was his great ability to track the game and never gave up till we found the illusive lions and leopard. Hats off to him. His love for animals shone through. After Saguni we went to 2 other lodges which were also very good but I must say Saguni was the highlight and I left a piece of my heart there. I hope to return one day.

Wonderful safari at Saguni lodge We had a wonderful safari experience here. While the lodge is large, we had a very intimate stay as it was just us and one other couple, so we had the staff's undivided attention. We were met at the airstrip by the owner, Judge, and had wonderful conversation on the way to the lodge. Oscar and Connie made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Custard made sure we found lions and saw lots of elephants and hippos during our game drives, we even saw a few bush babies on our night drive. Great meals prepared by the chef. The tents are very modern, very comfortable beds, hot shower with great water pressure, but there is no Wi-Fi (we appreciated this as we wanted to be off-grid and disconnect). Definitely recommended for a great safari adventure.

what a memorable experience! What a memorable experience! We were guests for 2 days and were pampered by staff and the surrounding nature: Next to the entertainment and dining area is a wetland that is visited by elephants and other animals: thus you can do your safari from your chair! Food was of good quality as well as the friendlyness and helpfulnes of all staff! If you are looking for an upmarket stay at the Khwai River, look no further!

Wonderful, welcoming Delta camp with incredible game viewing Overlooking a lagoon, the location of this camp is amazing. You can sip a G&T at the bar and watch elephants feeding, and hear hippos honking. It was so green and lush. I stayed in a beautiful river tent, so could sit on my verandah and look out over the river between drives. The tent was very comfortable, with charging points for your camera and a fan for the hot siestas. At night you can hear the animals moving around in the water and out, the reed frog chorus, and the hyaena yipping in the background. My guide, Face, a local from the Khwai community, was friendly and super-knowledgeable, especially about lions, and I was lucky enough to have him to myself for a couple of drives as part of my stay coincided with a quiet day at the camp. He answered all my questions, and I saw many lions, leopards, so many birds, antelope galore, giraffe, zebra, chameleon, and a spring hare - which was new to me. Even just sitting gazing at the beautiful Milky Way on the way back to camp one night was breathtaking. All the staff and the camp were friendly and approachable. The food was great, with a good variety, and I liked the fact that the guests and the guides ate together at the one table. I loved this camp; would go back in a heartbeat.

Off grid feel and an authentic welcome We loved this lodge. Totally off grid. Wonderful guide and fabulous people. Cannot stress enough how warm the reception was. Hippos and hyenas were the sound of the night. We stayed in tents by the river that were chilly overnight but added to the experience. No wifi gave us a really off grid feel. Not as fancy as other lodges but comfortable and way, way more authentic.

Great camp in the delta with incredible game viewing This is a great camp right in the Delta. The tents are well appointed, with comfy beds, and the river ones are right on waterside which offer a wonderful opportunity to sit on your stoep, and watch the elephants and other animals right on your doorstep. The river is also full of hippos, which mean a wonderful chorus of grunts and other noises to fall asleep to. The game siting are incredible there, we saw prides of lions 4 game drives in a row, including two females with 5 cubs. Also, close upswith elephants, sightings of a leopard and more, and even getting roared at by a hippo while on a mokoro trip. This is a slightly larger camp that sleeps 40+ when in capacity - I would say this probably more suited to those travelling in groups, than those looking for a personal or intimate experience. The staff at this camp are the biggest selling point, and all are incredible, going out of their way to host you at meals and make you feel at home. Thank you to guide KB and Raphael, manager Natasha, front of house Dumo (sp?) and Joyce and Chef Jack, who were all amazing, we were sad to say goodbye to them all.
